Speedy Video Downloader is a video-downloading app that claims to be compatible with various platforms. But be forewarned that it doesn’t always follow through on this promise.

The way Speedy Video Downloader works is as follows: when you open the app, you’ll see a list of various video portals and platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, and Snagfilms, among others. To download a video, just choose one of these platforms and search for the video in question. Once you’ve found it, a download arrow will appear. When you tap on the arrow, you’ll see a message explaining that the download will begin after you watch a 30-second video ad, and once you’ve done that, you can try to start the download, but good luck: although there are plenty of video platforms included in the search feature, hardly any of them work. Instead, more often than not, you’ll see a message explaining that downloading videos from that platform is prohibited.
